An inspiring transformation
A metamorphosis inspired by divine will
By doing a good deed, she made a remarkable decision. Despite more lucrative offers, she chose to sell her property to the local Muslim community to transform it into a place of worship. With the grace of divine will, she agreed to a three-year interest-free payment plan, following her mother’s suggestion that she had seen in her dream. This generous initiative allowed our Muslim community to realize a long-awaited project. Despite the difficult times of the Covid pandemic, community members mobilized to move from a modest space rented in 2010 to a 370 square meter mosque, proudly inaugurated during Ramadan 2022. This new center now hosts various activities :
- Daily prayers
- Weekend school
- Community gatherings
Thanks to Allah and then to the generosity of numerous donors and the tireless work of members of the community, the project, initially estimated at $1.5 million, was able to see the light of day.
A vision coming to fruition
An exclusively Muslim cemetery
After establishing our mosque and experiencing a steady growth in the community in the region, a group of brothers, deeply committed to the future of our community, succeeded in realizing an initial vision through a fundraising effort in Quard Hassan.
This initiative was crucial, as it represented not only a financial challenge but also an invaluable opportunity to strengthen our identity and belonging. By seizing this unique chance, these brothers worked tirelessly to acquire our first exclusively Muslim cemetery. Their determination and perseverance were essential in this process.
Over the years, many attempts had been made to establish this cemetery, but every effort had remained unsuccessful. The obstacles were numerous, ranging from administrative issues to challenges related to acceptance by the local community. However, the faith and resilience of our dedicated group triumphed. They tirelessly advocated for our community’s cause, highlighting the importance of a dignified and sacred resting place for our members.
Today, this long-cherished initial vision has finally become a reality. We now have a sacred space where our deceased can rest in peace, surrounded by the prayers of their loved ones and the community. This cemetery is not just a resting place; it symbolizes a collective achievement and a testament to our solidarity and shared faith. It represents a new chapter for our community, reinforcing our bonds and our commitment to our heritage.
This achievement also inspires future generations, reminding them of the importance of unity and collective action. Thanks to Allah and the efforts of these brothers, we now have a sacred space that reminds us that our path is guided by values of compassion and solidarity.
